Inquiries regarding the WinDX™ Spirometry System

Communication port is not responding.

Exit out of the program. While in desktop, make sure that only WinDX™ program is running (close all other WinDX™ programs). Verify that the COM port settings are inputed correctly.

Sensor keeps running away (drifting)

Calibrate the sensor and verify that the sensor's temperature is equal with the ambient room temperature.

Unable to retrieve patient data files.

Exit out of the program and restart the computer.

Computer continually locks up.

Turn off the computer, wait for 5 seconds, and then turn the unit back on.

Error message displayed: "This program has performed an illegal operation".

Select the "OK" option, shut down the computer, wait for 5 seconds and turn the computer back on.

Sensor will not read any type of airflow.

Make sure that the sensor element is in the sensor housing and then recalibrate the sensor.
